There is something about Titania that has always fascinated me.
She is the Queen of the Fairies: powerful, proud, and completely at home in the enchanted forest. And yet, in A Midsummer Night's Dream, even she is not beyond the reach of magic.
A single flower.
A little enchantment.
And suddenly, the most powerful fairy in the forest finds herself in love with the most unlikely creature.
I wanted to paint Titania as I imagine her: wild and regal, surrounded by the beauty of the forest she rules, with the flower that lies at the heart of her story.
Only one exists.
